 Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park is short listed
for Chef of the Year Award
The short listed nominees for the 2007 debut Hotel Catey Awards have been announced this week and up for Chef of the Year, for hotels with less than 250covers is Hywel Jones of Lucknam Park Hotel, Colerne, just 6 miles from Bath.
The awards, launched alongside sister award the Cateys earlier this year, are designed to allow hoteliers to celebrate the achievements of their staff and give them industry-wide recognition.
 The Cateys have recognised and celebrated the hospitality industry’s highest flyers and strongest performers for 24 years. This year’s addition of the Hotel Cateys to the Caterer Group’s portfolio of awards events will reward the unsung heroes of the hotel industry. As with the Cateys, recipients of Hotel Cateys have been nominated, selected and recognised by their industry peers.
The 2007 Hotel Cateys will be presented at a glittering awards ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 13 November.

Whitehall Garden Centre
Whitehall Garden Centre will be celebrating the North Wilts Food and Drink Festival with a series of special events in the farm shop and restaurant. The farm shop will be giving tastings of local foods by some of our suppliers and special offers on produce from the farm, as well as our usual fantastic selection of delicious local foods.
In the restaurant we will be highlighting our local suppliers throughout the festival with a special seasonal two course meal on the evening of Thursday the 6th of September using only local produce. There will also be live music, so you can combine a little shopping with chance to sample great local food.
